Have you ever tried “Inarizushi” before? It’s soft, thin, deep-fried tofu pocket filled with sushi rice. One of the favorite picnic foods in Japan and often found at convenience stores and supermarkets.

When I was a child, inarizushi was still simple-looking, but inarizushi with colorful toppings has been on the rise in the past few years. Today I bought an assortment of colorful inarizushi from Koichian (sushi shop popular for inarizushi and rolled sushi). Includes 5 delicious flavors!

Personally, the conger eel was a big surprise for me. Contrary to the sweet sauce on the conger eel, the rice has wasabi stems (Japanese horseradish) mixed inside. Delicious with sweet and spicy tastes alternating. Today I introduced a pack of 5, but you can also buy them individually. Which flavor would you like to try?
