Autumn foliage season in Japan is approaching…that means time for Japanese confectionery to switch to autumn colors too!

Today's confectionery named "Miyama no Aki" (meaning "autumn in the deep mountains") is from Ryoguchiya Korekiyo. Not only is it autumn-like visually, but also uses representative autumn specialties of Japan, persimmon and chestnuts. It consists of 3 layers with different texture and flavor.

Top: Transparent kingyokukan jelly with small bean jellies shaped in red maple leaves and yellow ginkgo leaves. Each leaf is placed by hand!
Middle: Orange-colored jelly made from persimmon.
Bottom: Thick red bean paste jelly with chestnut chunks inside.

🍁Miyama no Aki (half-size): 1,080 yen
*Available until mid-NOV.
