Have you ever tried Japanese hot pot dish? One of Japanese winter favorites, "Nabe” a.k.a. hot pot, consists of winter veggies like Chinese cabbage, Japanese mushrooms, meat, seafood, etc. all cooked in hot broth. ”Nabe" is enjoyed with family and friends to warm up both body and heart.

New hot pots "Fukufuku-nabe" and "Chitose-nabe" are now available at Japanese tableware specialty shop Tachikichi.

🍲Fukufuku-nabe (photos 1~3): available from 11,000 yen (incl. tax)
Shigaraki ware with excellent heat retention. Its white coating visually appeals the broth and ingredients. Also, its lid and handles are easy-to-hold design. For use on gas fire.

🍲Chitose-nabe: (photos 4 & 5): available from 16,500 yen (incl. tax)
Banko ware with excellent heat resistance and durability. Retains heat and allows the broth flavor to soak into the ingredients by residual heat. OK to use on both IH cooking heater and direct fire.

Which would you choose? "Fukufuku-nabe" with a classical design or "Chitose-nabe" with a modern design? Both will go well with Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines.
