Nagasaki Kase Cube--NIPPON OMIYAGE AWARD Special Judges Prize

180g/incl. two pieces -- 4,104 yen

Sausage material, with its primary ingredient being pork produced in Nagasaki Prefecture, is stuffed into an original Hasami ware bowl decorated with a design typical of Nagasaki, and then baked in an oven to create two types of kase (meatloaf): plain kase and cheese-flavored kase.

During Japan's isolation period, sausage was introduced from the West to Dejima in Nagasaki. Meanwhile, soy sauce and oil were packed in Hasami ware bottles and exported overseas. Reminiscing about those days, we have packed sausage into Hasami ware bowls, then grilled it and finished into two types of kase.
