The Mystical Walk is a walking tour available only from February to June. ※Meals are not included.

  • Date of the event: February 3, 2025 (Monday) to June 10, 2025 (Tuesday)
    ※The plan is to continue until the beginning of the rainy season. However, if the rainy season starts early and the water level is expected to rise, it will end earlier than the above period due to the risk of flooding.
  • Price
    ＜Guide Fee＞
    Max. 10 persons per group
    ・From 1 to 5 people: Guide fee 9,000 yen
    ・From 6 to 10 people: Guide fee 12,000 yen
    ※If there are more than 11 people, they will be treated as two or more groups.
    ※One guide is assigned per group.
    ＜First fee for official visit to the shrine＞
    In order to conduct the Mystical Walk, an official visit to the Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine is required.
    ・From 1 to 5 people: Please pay 5,000 yen or more separately to Kumano Nachi Taisha.
    ・From 6 to 20 people: Please pay 10,000 yen or more separately to Kumano Nachi Taisha.
    (For 21 or more persons, +500 yen per person)
    ※Please pay the official worship fee directly to Kumano Nachi Taisha.
    ※The official worship hours are from 08:30 to 13:30.

    Example: For 20 persons = 10 persons x 2 groups
    Guide fee 12,000 yen × 2 groups＝24,000 yen + the worship fee (More than 10,000 yen)
  • Available tour departure time
    From 8:00 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. (The last meeting time is at 13:00.)
  • Tour Duration (Approximate time)
    About four to five hours
  • Participation requirement
    Upper elementary school students and older, who are physically fit.
  • Route
    (Meeting Point) Nachi-san Bus Stop…Kumano Nachi Taisha (worship)…Nachi-san Seiganto-ji (temple visit)…entering the mountain…waterway…The Ni-no taki waterfall…The San-no-taki waterfall…The Ni-no taki waterfall…Nachi Falls (The Ichi-no taki waterfall) (Dismissal)

    ※The ascent up to the waterway is unrelenting. From the waterway, you will descend using a rope, and on the way to the Ni-no taki waterfall, you will cross four streams. From Ni-no Taki waterfall to San-no Taki waterfall, you will climb a steep slope.
    ※Please note that there are no restrooms available on the mountain. (Seiganto-ji is the last place where you can use the restroom.)
    ※Walking distance: about 5km. walking time: about 3.5 hours. height difference: about 100m
  • Things to bring
    ①Carry a backpack or other bag that can be stowed away so that you can use both hands.
    ②Please wear comfortable, non-slip footwear. (No rain boots)
    ③Gloves (Required for gripping rocks and trees)・drinks・refreshments
    　※When entering the stream, be aware that trekking poles (sticks) are dangerous, so stow them away before crossing.
    　※If you use a walking stick, leave it before crossing the stream and collect it on the way back.
  • Others
    ①If the tour cannot be conducted due to rising water, rain, or storms, we will notify you by the morning of the day before the tour. For safety reasons, we may turn around in the middle of the course, even after the tour departs.
    ②Bring a change of clothes, etc., if necessary, as you will get wet from the water in the stream.
    ③We do not accept other optional arrangements, such as lunch box arrangements, Goma Prayer, etc. Please understand this in advance.
    ④We have insurance in case of emergency, but we are not responsible for any liability beyond the scope of the following.
    　【The compensation for death and permanent injury is 3 million yen. The compensation for hospitalization is 3,000 yen per day. The compensation for outpatient visits is 2,000 yen per day.】
