Heading from Kushimoto to Oshima, over 40 large and small rock pillars stand in a line of about 850 meters in the sea, and are designated as a National Natural Monument.

Along with Shionomisaki Cape, Hashiguiiwa Rock, which shows various expressions depending on the season, weather, time of day, and tide level, is a very popular spot in Kushimoto. It has been selected as one of the 100 strangely shaped rocks in Japan!

When the tide goes out, you can get even closer to the rocks!

The Hashigakeiwa Light-up held every year around November has been selected as one of Japan's Night View Heritage Sites.

It takes about 20 to 25 minutes on foot from JR Kushimoto Station, and about 3 minutes by community bus.

You can get souvenirs and try ponkan mandarin flavored soft serve at the rest stop “Kushimoto Hashigui-iwa Rocks.” Come and check Hashigui-iwa Rocks when you visit Kushimoto for sightseeing!
