We started out as an edger and expanded into an integrated production plant as the times changed, and have been in business for 70 years. We were the first in the area to commercialize stainless steel products and since we started making household knives we are passionately manufacturing and researching "products with high added value". We keep the 700-year long Echizen tradition of manufacturing knives by hand and also expanding research into new areas of cutlery and stationery. In addition to the practicality of the Bonten Unryu series in terms of sharpness and durability, the blade is specially processed to create a laminated pattern that appears like a cloud.
