Takaoka Copperware is said to have originated when Toshinaga Maeda, the second feudal lord of the Kaga domain, invited 7 founders (Imoji) from the neighboring villages to set up a foundry in Kanaya-machi in 1611 to promote the industry. We, Nousaku, were founded in 1916 and have expanded our business by manufacturing Buddhist ritual objects, Japanese tea utensils, flower vases, etc. Even with difficulties due to lifestyle changes and economic downturn, we have developed our own products as a new challenge and created the industry's first "bendable tableware". The "Beer Cup" is made of tin. Tin has a high thermal conductivity, so the coldness of the beer is quickly transferred to its entirety.
