Smoked Iidako (Octopus) Ajillo--NIPPON OMIYAGE AWARD Portuguese Embassy of Japan Award

Octopus from Nagasaki Prefecture is smoked using "nogurumi" chips from Tsushima Island. Tomatoes produced in Nagasaki Prefecture and eryngii mushrooms produced in Nagasaki Prefecture are also used.

This is an ajillo made focusing on the consumption of locally produced food in the locality.

In the hope of creating a smoked product with the use of local foodstuffs, we have made many attempts. This ajillo was born at the thought of creating a processed product that can be stored for a long time even at room temperature.
