NIPPON OMIYAGE AWARD Hungarian Embassy Award--Musubi ball (small)
Friendly for both the elderly and children. Beautiful and unbreakable ceramic-like tableware.
This musubi plate features a gentle triangle in the shape of an omusubi (rice ball). It looks like ceramic, but it is actually made of aluminum. The dish was created in response to the earnest wish of an elderly person who said, 「I can't eat well with plastic tableware.」 In order to make the texture of the aluminum feel similar to the rough texture of ceramic, the sand used in the molds is coarser and finer than usual, even at the risk of increasing the defect rate, and with which the plates are cast with.
Then, by applying a glaze to it, we have achieved a texture that could be easily mistaken for ceramics. The 「unbreakable」 characteristic is ideal for children as well as the elderly, whose hands tend to slip easily. Children can be easily and safely exposed to the Japanese food culture, which is concerned with the beauty of the dishes, from an early age, and this will lead to food education.
It is finished in simple colors, so it can be matched with any type of dishes.
It is also recommended as a gift for celebratory occasions, such as wedding gifts and gifts for guests, with the 「unbreakable」 dish representing a 「unbreakable」 relationship.
