Ukiyo-e Tatami--NIPPON OMIYAGE AWARD Honorary Consulate-General of Bhutan in Tokyo Award

It was created by combining tatami, a traditional Japanese culture, and ukiyo-e, a Japanese art. The tatami mats are made from rushes grown in Kumamoto Prefecture, so they have a nice tatami scent and have a deodorizing effect. There are metal fittings on the back so you can hang it on the wall.

We thought if we could create something for tourists visiting Japan using tatami, which was a traditional Japanese culture. We created this product with the concept of combining two unique Japanese cultures and making you think "THE Japan" just by looking at it.
