Kyoto's delicious matcha desserts and beautiful delicate cuisine are enjoyable both in taste and visual presentation. Kyoto Fair will be held at Keio Department Store starting Tuesday, May 21st. Here are some food and sweets that will be sold at the event

[Yoshinoya]
Otogi-zoshi (9 pieces): 1,329 yen
Japanese confectionery inspired by "Otogi-zoshi (おとぎ草子)", a series of Japanese medieval tales. An assortment of seasonal nerikiri (Japanese unbaked sweet), yokan (sweet red bean jelly), and manjyu (steamed cake) that looks like a box of jewels.

[TORIMATSU]
Amino Specialty Barazushi: 1,080 yen per box
Eye-catching local dish consisting of double layered minced mackerel and sushi rice and topped with colorful ingredients.

[Kyoto Tsurara]
Shaved Ice "Icicle Castle": 2,200 yen per serving
A tasty combination of sweet white bean matcha cream using high grade matcha and refreshing homemade apple puree!
*"Tsurara" means icicle in Japanese.

Japanese Beef Sukiyaki & Egg Sandwiches: 1,296 yen per package
*Limited to 50 packages per day.
*Take-out only.
Sweet-salty, tender Japanese beef cooked in sukiyaki style and egg make a great match.

[Kyoto Touzantei]
Saikyoyaki Bento:1,944 yen per box
*Limited to 30 boxes per day.
A bento box of slowly grilled sablefish saikyoyaki (miso-marinated grilled fish).

[Izuu]
Taste of Gion: 3,564 yen per box
*Limited to 30 boxes per day.
*Only 15 boxes on MAY 26 (SUN).
An assorted box of Kyoto's representative sushi: Izuu's signature whole mackerel sushi, grilled conger eel sushi, and sea bream sushi with yuzu scent wrapped inside bamboo leaf.

Kelp-marinated & Sesame Sauce Flavored Wild Red Sea Bream Bento: 1,998 yen per box
*Limited to 30 boxes per day.
Red sea bream in 2 different flavors: lightly flavored by marinating with kelp and richly flavored with sesame sauce.

[Daitokuji Temple Saikiya]
Sea Eel, Inarizushi, and Japanese Egg Roll Set: 1,080 yen per box
An assortment of seasonal sea eel sushi, signature inarizushi (rice in tofu skin pouch), and fluffy Kyoto-style egg roll using dashi broth.

[Fukujuen]
Matcha & Houjicha Sandae: 550 yen per cup
*Limited to 100 servings per day.
Sandae consisting of crispy houjicha rusk, tea leaf cookie, and soft-serve ice cream of rich matcha & houjicha. Fully enjoy the tea flavor from your first bite to the very last bite.

Strawberry parfait created by a fruit connoisseur. Refreshing dessert using plenty of ripe strawberries!

[Mangetsu]
Ajarimochi: 140 yen per piece

One of Kyoto's signature souvenir "Ajarimochi (阿闍梨餅)"! The semi-sweet azuki bean paste matches well with the chewy outer dough

[Shogoin Yatsuhashi Sohonten]
