For everyone who’s celebrating 2024 new year at Tokyo or planning a New Year trip to Tokyo! At Keio Department Store, we are holding a “New Year’s Lucky Draw” from January 2nd (Tuesday) to 5th (Friday) with a giant omikuji!

“Omikuji” is a Japanese traditional fortune telling using a wooden box, from where you pull your fortune written in a piece of paper. On New Year in Japan, people go to temples and shrines to wish for a happy, healthy year. There, they draw omikuji to predict the luck of the next year.

Normally, the size of an omikuji can be held easily with both hands, but the one that will appear at Keio Department Store is approximately 60cm tall! Come try our giant omikuji which you can’t experience so often!
