[Aoiya Yakimochi Souhonpo]
Assorted Kyoto Ohagi: 750 yen
(Flavors: coarse red bean paste, smooth red bean paste, sesame, roasted soy bean flour, Uji matcha, 1 piece each)
*Limited to 50 sets per day.

"Ohagi (おはぎ)" is a traditional rice ball sweet in Japan. Each one of these ohagi are handmade by wagashi confectioners. The ones coated with kinoko (roasted soy bean flour), sesame, and Uji Matcha have coarse sweet bean paste inside♡

[Futa]
Fu Manjyu Wrapped in Bamboo Leaf (5 pieces per pack): 1,188 yen

"Fu Manjyu (麩まんじゅう)" is a type of steamed cake using "Fu (麩/wheat glutin)." It has a distinctive chewy texture. These fu manjyu have slightly sweetened smooth red bean paste filled inside steamed wheat gluten cake called "Nama-fu (生麩)."

[Yoshinoya]
(from left)
Strawberry Daifuku: 302 yen each
Pineapple Daifuku: 270 yen each

Strawberry daifuku with coarse red bean paste and pineapple daifuku with white bean paste. Mame daifuku has plenty of red peas inside♡

[Shogoin Yatsuhashi]
Nama Yatsuhashi in Kyoto's Early Summer Package: 594 yen
(Flavors: cinnamon, matcha, 5 pieces each)

"Yatsuhashi (八ッ橋)" might be one of the first things that come to your mind when speaking of souvenir from Kyoto. I always purchase Yatsuhashi from "Shogoin Yatsuhashi" whenever I visit Kyoto♪ Coarse red bean paste with moderate sweetness is wrapped inside Nama-Yatsuhashi (non-baked Yatsuhashi) in cinnamon and matcha flavors.

[Ajarimochi Honpo Mangetsu]
Ajarimochi: 118 yen each
*Limited to 1,000 pieces per day. Only 10 pieces per customer.

Baked confectionery with coarse red bean paste filled inside mochi dough. Chewy and delicious.

[Sasaya Iori]
Dorayaki: 1,620 yen per pack

You might be familiar with "Dorayaki" in the pancake version. However, Sasaya Iori's dorayaki is completely different from the ones you've tried before or seen in Japanese anime! Their dorayaki has smooth red bean paste bar rolled inside thin chewy dough made with their special recipe. It's a seasonal confectionery closely related to Touji Temple in Kyoto.

Let's enjoy Kyoto's anko sweets while in Tokyo♬
