Slowly moving along "monotone world" in a boat

Mogami Canyon is a scenic valley located in the middle areas of the Mogami River. In winter, snow blankets the whole area, creating a monotone world as far as the eye can see. Cruising down the river in small boats, called "Funa-Kudari", are popular here, especially during the winter season from December to the end of March, when “kotatsu boats” are available so you can warm your feet under a table on the deck. Please enjoy this precious winter-only experience of warming your feet under the kotatsu and enjoying the beauty of the canyon with the boatman's lighthearted guidance.
