"POUYUENJI" is a global brand established by illustrious parent-child collectors of tea. The brand's first store has just opened in Kyoto. Please pay attention to POUYUENJI, which has created a new concept focused on delicious teas selected from around the world and on spatial experience of Kyo-machiya houses and gardens.

We would like to introduce you to tea experience inside the store.
■The "tasting menu", a popular menu, allows you to enjoy the tastes of four types of tea leaves for 8,800 yen (tax included).
・The first brew is the clear cold-brewed tea "Oriental Beauty 2015" called Champagne Oolong.

　Using tea leaves harvested in New Taipei City, Taiwan, this tea has a distinctive honey-like aroma. You can enjoy a refreshing aftertaste and champagne-like translucency.

・The second brew is "Suisen 2023" with a floral and roasted aroma

　It is a Chinese rock tea, a type of oolong tea. The tea leaves stuck to rock surface have a strong mineral content and a somewhat strong aroma. It is served with a sweet. The sweet is made of green laver, matcha, mugwort, etc. and resembles the image of a moss-covered floating island.

・The third brew is "Jin Da Mo Fresh Pu-erh Tea 2020" able to be drunk in few stores in Japan

　With its production fully supervised by the owner, this Pu-erh tea has a mellow fragrance like green plums. Raw Pu-erh tea is aged over time and has a refined, delicate taste similar to Oolong tea. It is served with a lightly sweetened sweet and a mineral fruit.

・The fourth brew is "Yuen Ji Post-Fermented Pu-erh Tea 2012"

　It contains artificially fermented aged tea leaves, which have jujube scent and its mild brown sugar flavor goes well with sweets. Served with original sweet, with amber honey and brown sugar.

■The tea ceremony experience at the "Tea Room" (reservation required) is a relaxing and blissful time.

There are also various artists, original tea utensils, antique plates, etc., and just looking at them is enchanting! It's a best time to relax while drinking tea, listening to softly-played opera, and admiring the colorful trees in the Japanese garden.

　Original tea utensils and tea leaves can be combined exclusively at the store. The tea leaves are available in packs of 8g to 75g, there are 10 different types available, vintage, rare and oolong teas, you can choose the tea leaves that will suit your recipient.

　Currently, most of the tea leaves we offer are from Taiwan and China, focusing on teas around the world, in the future we plan to increase the number of Japanese tea, black tea, etc.. Have a relaxing time of enjoying the nature of the garden while drinking selected teas.
