Bizen ware is one of the six oldest pottery styles in Japan.
It is made without a glaze, and the kiln flame and the clay create a natural texture that means that no two pieces of pottery are exactly the same.

This spring, we will be holding an exhibition of works by traditional craftsman Motomichi Sugata. There will also be demonstrations and hands-on pottery making. We hope you will enjoy this special time to experience the traditional beauty of Japan.
