Aomori Prefecture, which is located on the most northern point of the main island of Japan, is known for its heavy snowfall area. Surrounded by the sea on three directions, west, north, and east, the prefecture is rich in marine products. Specially Oma-Machi is famous for its tuna caught using the single hook fishing method. There are also the Jomon Prehistoric Sites that are registered with the World Cultural Heritage Site which are scattered about.

Have fun on the snowmobiles that goes through the snow

Aomori is one of the most heavily snow-covered areas in Japan. 「SNOW SPORTS PARK AOIMORI」 is a leisure facility that's only open in the winter, where you can enjoy that abundant snow. Especially touring with a snowmobile is very popular. 10 snowmobiles with 200 - 1000cc are available, and you can drive them easily with only the handle, accelerator, and by shifting the body weight. On January 26th, and February 23rd of 2025, you can participate without making any prior reservation. Excluding those days, reservation in advance will be needed, so please make a reservation with the form.

A-FACTORY Aomori Cidre-- A sparkling alcohol made by apples from Aomori prefecture

Aomori Prefecture is the largest producer of apples in Japan. A-FACTORY Aomori Cider is an alchohol made from apples fermented at low temperatures. It is made inside the cider factory "A-FACTORY" , using only apples from Aomori Prefecture. The moment you take a sip, the apple flavor fills your mouth.

Original Aomori Nokkedon -- An original bowl by selecting your own ingredients

"Nokkedon" is a meal that you make by selecting a little of fresh seafoods, side dishes, and local foods selling at Aomori Gyosai Center to eat with hot rice.

The procedure is following: you purchase a meal ticket at information center to change it with rice at the shop with red signboard. You choose the ingredients sold at about 30 shops inside of the market and exchange them with the rest of the meal tickets. You put them on the rice to make a bowl, one and only in the world. Please have a try!
