"SAKEICE" is an ice cream that uses plenty of sake as an ingredient to achieve an acquired taste with a high alcohol content.
By collaborating with sake breweries all over Japan, we will keep spreading the potential of sake from Tokyo to the world, which continues to evolve together with our rice culture.
SAKEICE Tokyo Shop
Currently, there are two stores in Tokyo that offer eat-in service.
Of these, "SAKEICE Tokyo Shop" opened in 2023 on the 1st floor of the "YANMAR TOKYO" building, just off the Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station.
This time we actually tried out three different flavors!
1 Sake Ice Cream
By far the most popular product is this original sake ice cream, the first such ice cream in the world. Its alcohol content is 4.0%.
It allows the aroma of sake to spread softly and gives a refreshing aftertaste.
If you ever go to "SAKEICE", please eat this first!
2 Junmai Sake of Oki Homare Muromachi
This is an ice cream that uses "Junmai Sake of Oki Homare Muromachi", which is ultra-sweet and amber in color, and that reproduces the sake at a later stage of the Muromachi Period (1336-1573).
Although It has an alcohol content of 4.5%, the highest on the menu of this store, it is rich in taste and very sweet, and therefore it is easy to eat as an ice cream.
3 Pink Rice Flour Ice Cream (non-alcoholic)
This is a new sensational ice cream that is naturally pink in color, not containing colorants, and that uses red glutinous rice produced in Toyama.
The cute pink ice cream has a grainy texture of the glutinous rice, and you can feel the flavor of the rice and gentle sweetness.
The menu and the prices shown here are what was offered at the time of this interview.
Besides the sake ice creams, there are liqueur-based ice creams and non-alcoholic ice creams.
Those who don't drink alcohol and children can also come and enjoy it.
"SAKEICE" develops products in collaboration with sake breweries all over Japan, and you can experience the sake culture through ice creams, which are familiar sweets.
Why not enjoy the harmony between sake and ice cream?
