■The museum has one of the largest collections in Japan, with 54 cars in its collection! 「The Kyoto Railway Museum」, where you can see, touch, and experience the trains

Not only railroad fans, but also everyone can learn about the history, safety and technology of trains by seeing, touching and experiencing them. The museum houses Japan's largest collection of 54 cars, ranging from steam locomotives to bullet trains running at 300 km/h, and it is a sight to behold them all in one place!

■There is a 「driving simulator」 where you can put on a uniform and feel like a driver, and you can ride in a passenger car pulled by a real steam locomotive!

 
The 「Driving Simulator」 is based on the simulator that drivers actually use for training, and allows visitors to experience driving two types of trains (bullet trains and local trains) while wearing a driver's uniform. To use the simulator, you need to purchase a ticket in advance, and when you purchase the ticket, you need to select either the Shinkansen or the local train.

Of the 23 steam locomotives in the museum's collection, visitors can enjoy a 10-minute, 1-km journey in a carriage pulled by four real steam locomotives, which change each period.
