Feeding sea turtles at Kushimoto Marine Park which has the sandy beach with the largest number of spawning turtle in Japan, and the experience of touching baby turtles is one of the few precious opportunity in Japan.

You can learn about endangered sea turtles while interacting with sea turtles born at the aquarium.
・The sea of Kushimoto has the northernmost coral reef ecosystem in the world. Visitors can deepen their understanding of coral and the creatures that live around it.

What you can learn
You can learn about the marine environment and creatures through the marine environment and ecology around Kushimoto. Facing the sea, Kushimoto Marine Park is a special and historic aquarium where seawater is taken and circulated. During the tour, a keeper will take you to the backyard while telling you about the sea and its creatures.

※Fees are to be paid in cash to the guide at the meeting place on the day of the tour. Please be prepared to bring exact amount.
※The above fee includes the entrance fee to the Underwater Park.

What to bring on the day
・Wear clothes that can get dirty and are easy to move around in, as you may be splashed by waves. Be sure to put your cell phone, camera, etc. in a strap or case to prevent them from being dropped.

Please meet at Kushimoto Marine Park (1157 Arita, Kushimoto-cho, Higashimuro-gun, Wakayama 649-3514, Japan).
※Please note that this tour is divided into two parts, morning and afternoon. Please be careful not to mistake the start time of the tour.


・10:00 / 13:00 Tour starts
Learn about the marine ecology of Kushimoto at Kushimoto Marine Park. You can also interact with sea turtles (touch the hatchlings) and feed them. At the Underwater Observation Tower, you can see coral reefs and fish from underwater. After that, we will visit the backyard of the Underwater Park.


・12:00 / 15:00 End of tour
The tour will end at the site and the group will be dismissed.
