Tsuruya Department Store is the only department store in Kumamoto Prefecture located in the center of Kumamoto City. Nearby, there are Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's three most famous castles, and the shopping and restaurant streets of Kamidori, Shimotori, and Sunroad Shinshigai, one of the largest in Western Japan, and there are plenty of sightseeing spots.
