Shopping for autumn clothes, shoes or a new travel bag? Check the sale dates before you go. September brings holiday sales to outlet malls across Japan, alongside offers on clothing and homeware at department stores. Here is a selection of officially announced sales, with a focus on Tokyo and the surrounding region.

Mitsui Outlet Park: Silver Week Sale at 14 Locations
Dates: Friday, September 18–Sunday, September 27
Mitsui Outlet Park’s Silver Week Sale will run at 14 locations across Japan. Five are in the greater Tokyo area: Kisarazu, Makuhari, Iruma, Tama Minami Osawa and Yokohama Bayside.

Sample and B-Grade Sale at Kisarazu
Kisarazu will also hold a sample and B-grade sale from Friday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 23, a Japanese public holiday. Items include development samples and products with minor scratches or marks that do not affect their use—a chance to browse for something a little different. Official Kisarazu announcement
Ami, Sano and Fukaya-Hanazono: Autumn Offers
Three Premium Outlets locations in the Kanto region will hold autumn sales over the holiday period.

Nihombashi Takashimaya: Menswear and Children’s Clothing
Nihombashi Takashimaya will hold a two-suit made-to-measure sale from Wednesday, September 16 to Monday, September 28, followed by a baby and children’s clothing sale from Wednesday, September 23 to Monday, September 28.
