The Tokyo flagship store of the French “great master of Pastry”, Pierre Hermé, reopened at the end of 2016 with a new look. Once again, the eminent Japanese interior designer Masamichi Katayama has worked his magic on the store’s decor to create a space where “culture is created through exquisite pastries”, which is enhanced by a music selection from the company NF founded by the multitalented Ichiro Yamaguchi, the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of the rock band Sakanaction. The first floor has casual counter seats for customers to also enjoy a coffee and croissant, while the second floor features the store’s new pride and joy - its open kitchen “Heaven”, where freshly-made and exceptional haute pastry are prepared before your eyes.
