Surprisingly people do not know that Tokyo is a city of water where waterways run throughout the city. I hear that there is a water taxi smoothly sailing in the waterways. I have started the research!!
There are three plans for the water taxi depending on the purposes. I picked up a “Charter Plan” which I chose places for getting on and off in advance among 27 locations. I can enjoy unique sightseeing in Tokyo as this plan takes me to small and narrow waterways.
I took a water taxi at a wharf in Tamachi and then decided to sail to the sea from the river. The small yellow ship is a Tokyo water taxi. How cute it is!
Let’s go!
The taxi goes under the bridge. The roof of the taxi almost hits against the bridge.
I saw some aquatic birds.
I waved my hand to an office lady who was taking a break at a waterside.
How pleasant!
I see the ocean. Look. There is a Rainbow Bridge. The taxi speeded up. How exciting!
On the island near the Rainbow Bridge, Japanese Cormorants are building nests and raising their children. I was deeply impressed as I cannot see that on the ground.
While I was enjoying, it is already in the evening.
I am hungry. I will get off at Tennouzu and have a dinner.
■ Point
The rates of the Charter Plan are 5,400 yen (including tax) for 30 minutes per one voyage. A maximum of up to 6 people can get on board. It will be fun to go by a group.
