Japan is going bananas over Tokyo Bananas! By far Tokyo’s most popular take-home souvenir is Tokyo Banana which is of course shaped like a banana, but is soft and spongy. It even tastes remarkably similar to a banana! The secret ingredient lies in the soft banana cream which is flavored from strained banana puree. You might also be able to purchase the giraffe-spotted banana caramel custard cream or the leopard-print chocolate banana custard, but only if they aren’t sold out!
