First, make an appointment to visit the store at the Mitsukoshi Nihombashi main store. (You can make an appointment at the store or by phone.)

Take off your shoes, barefoot, put blue stickers on the left and right ends of your foot, get on the 3D foot measuring instrument and start measuring. Infrared rays measure your feet. Measurement of both feet is completed within a few minutes.

*Measurements are taken with bare feet or transparent stockings. If you are wearing black stockings, you will have to take them off before the measurement.

Your 3D foot shape will be displayed on the computer beside you! Not only the length of the foot, but also the width of your feet and the height of your instep are measured in millimeters.

You can check the measured data on the iPad. The shoe counselor explains the data on the shoes in detail. The first time I saw my own precisely measured foot shape, I thought it was very interesting. The difference between the left and right foot is not uncommon, but my both size of the left and right foot is the same.

I was a little shocked because I usually wear 23.5 cm shoes, but my measurement came out to be 23 cm. I couldn't believe I have been wearing 0.5 cm bigger shoes.

Once you find out your actual size and foot characteristics, it's time to try them on.

The shoe counselor asked me about my preferences and recommended designs and colors that would suit my foot shape.

I have narrow feet, so she chose three pairs of slim-type shoes for me. When I tried on each pair, I was surprised to find that I did not feel like my feet were straining. After walking around the store for a while, I bought the pair that fit my feet the best.

The beige enamel matches my skin and gives my feet a beautiful shape.
