　In the Osaka's Shinsaibashi area, a unique complex that combines a Buddhist temple and a hotel has opened. When you step into the building, you will find the main hall of Mitsu-ji Temple, and it is said that many people, regardless of religion, pray there. The entrance to the hotel is on the opposite side.

■At Mitsuji Temple's main hall, built more than 200 years ago, you can get closer to Buddhist culture.
There are fewer shrines and temples in Osaka compared to Kyoto, but the main hall is a building of cultural value that was built more than 200 years ago by joining the skills of Osaka's craftsmen. In the main hall of the wooden building, a number of Buddha statues are enshrined, including the eleven-sided statue of Kanzeon Bodhisattva that emits a soft light, and simply observing the colorful floral drawings on the ceiling and the gorgeous pillars and sculptures decorated with gold leaf and colored paintings can be fun.

・Experiences at the temple ①: Training to welcome the morning pleasingly, "Morning sutra experience"　

It is an opportunity to empty your mind, look into yourself, and calm your feelings while listening to the priest's sutra. Anyone can join for free, every day from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..

・Experiences at the temple ②: "Picture sutra" drawing a Buddha according to your worries

The "Picture Sutra" is a combination of the "Shasutra", that is rooted in Japanese culture, and the "Shabutsu" that captures the appearance of Buddha. You copy the sutra, choose the Buddha who relates closer to your worries, and paint and draw it. By drawing a Buddha you can calm your mind. Anyone can join between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the duration is about 10 to 20 minutes and costs 500 yen (tax included).

・Aside from the experiences at the temple, there are goods available that can protect you even after leaving Japan.

　If you write down a wish and a name on the package and display it in your room, "Bodhi Okoshi" will become a talisman. If you buy it as a souvenir in the hope for "health and longevity", anyone will be pleased, and there are 5 pieces of rice cake with a good texture, and is not too sweet inside (left, middle). In addition, there is the "Fukufuku Tenugui" (washcloth of fortune) with a design inspired by the main hall, with the hope that the more you wipe, the more good fortune will come.
