Heat stroke alerts are issued every day!

Remember to drink plenty of water and salt, take it easy when traveling outdoors, and take frequent breaks in air-conditioned facilities!

As part of its heat stroke countermeasures, the Tokyo Chuo city has opened up facilities with air-conditioning to help you escape the heat during the summer months as cooling shelters (designated heat evacuation facilities).

City facilities and designated pharmacies are eligible for cooling shelters, marked by this cool white bear poster.

For a list of facilities that are open to the public, please see the Chuo City website below.

*All facilities do not have dedicated restrooms, so they are shared with general users. Depending on congestion, these facilities may not be available.

*Closed days and opening hours differ depending on the facility. Please check the website in advance.

The Tokyo Chuo City Tourist Information Center is also designated as a cooling shelter!

You can rest in the PR space on the ground floor and the Tokyo Chuo City Tourist Information Center on the first basement floor!

*Please note that food is not permitted.

*The entire building will be closed all day on Sunday, 14 September for a legal inspection of the Kyobashi Edogran building.
