The Tokyo Chuo City Tourist Information Center is now selling goods from the Arashio Stable in Nihonbashi Hamacho!

The items are curated from Yorikiri Shop CHIKARAYAMA, a general store specializing in sumo-themed goods, traditional Japanese items, and souvenirs for international visitors. Yorikiri is located right across from the Arashio Stable.

Yorikiri offers many original products made from upcycled sumo banners that were once used by the stable.

Why not pick one up as a souvenir—or as a treat for yourself?

👇Here are some of the items available at Tokyo Chuo City Tourist Information Center👇

● Arashio Uchiwa (Hand Fan)

This fan features bold calligraphy of the word "Arashio" on the front. Set against a background inspired by traditional ukiyo-e art, the fan has a distinctly Japanese feel.

The calligraphy is by the same artist who designed the Arashio Stable's entrance sign.

Price: 1,000 yen (tax included).

● Sumo Kokeshi Dolls

These handcrafted kokeshi dolls, a traditional Japanese folk art, make the perfect gift for sumo enthusiasts.

Each doll is handcrafted by a woodworking artist in Nagano from 100% domestically sourced Japanese cypress (hinoki).

Prices:

Large size: 3,500 yen (tax included).

Small: 2,500 yen (tax included).

● Arashio Stable Keychains

There are six types of keychains available.

In addition to rikishi (sumo wrestlers), there’s a keychain featuring a gyoji (referee).

Each keychain charmingly captures the personality of its subject, and no two expressions are exactly alike.

Wrestlers: Wakamotoharu / Wakamotoharu (Special Technique Prize) / Wakatakakage / Wakatakakage (Victory Cup) / Wakatakamoto

Referee: Shikimori Kazuki

Price: ¥800 each (tax included)

● Triangular Pouch

This stylish pouch incorporates the design of a sumo banzuke (ranking sheet) and is both versatile and practical.

It's perfect for storing accessories, candy, or makeup like lip balm and hand cream.

You can also attach it to your bag with a key ring.

It's surprisingly roomy and makes a thoughtful and useful gift.

Price: ¥1,500 each (tax included).

On days when the Arashio Stable holds asageiko (morning practice), you may have the opportunity to watch the training session from outside or take a photo with a sumo wrestler!

If you're in the Ningyocho or Hamacho area, stop by and check it out.
