【Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi】 Mieko Noguchi Glass art exhibition: "To the twinkling stars"

Mieko Noguchi creates unique glass art pieces, striving to capture the ephemeral beauty born from the resonance with the soft, 1200°C molten glass.

With deep reverence for nature, she brings her creations to life by working glass with her own hands.

Her stunning works are highly acclaimed both in Japan and internationally.

This series takes viewers on a journey from Earth, seen at a distance of 100,000 kilometers (10^8 m), through the Solar System (10^13 m), the Milky Way Galaxy (10^21 m), the Local Galaxy Group (10^24 m), and finally to the deep universe, a billion light-years away (10^30 m).

The varying scales, from Earth outward, reveal distinct landscapes, challenging viewers to ponder the fundamental questions of existence: "What is the world?" and "Where am I?"
