Based upon the theme of “communicating Japanese sake culture through Urakasumi,” we display and sell pottery items and sake glasses, including Urakasumi products only available in Miyagi prefecture that “can only be bought and tasted in the local area.” Also, the “Urakasumi Sake Gallery” installed next to our company provides a space to tell people about “Shiogama originals” made in local Shiogama, our sakes, and various Shiogama information. Here, events such as brewery tours, a sake-testing counter, and exhibitions of works by Miyagi-based artisans are held, and our original goods featuring the Urakasumi logo mark is also popular. Enjoy to your heart’s content everything from things related to Urakasumi to the charms of Miyagi prefecture and local Shiogama. (Sake testing) Purchase an Urakasumi original Ochoko sake cup (¥300) and you can taste test three varieties of our recommended sake. (Brewery tours) Twice a day (11:00AM, 2:00PM) our staff provides guided outside tours of the brewery’s buildings and history (*Explanation and observation of the brewing process is not a part of the tour).
