Perfect for Sunny Days! Rooftop Cafes in Tokyo
Who wouldn't want to spend a splendid, sunny day out in Tokyo? Enjoy the sun by heading to a rooftop cafe with your camera and experience the city from a different vantage point.
This article will introduce three cafes in the city, recommended by an editor at MATCHA.
1. FEEL GREEN CAFE: A Rooftop Hideout
Nihonbashi is a Tokyo neighborhood known for its historic buildings and stores. Our first suggested cafe is located on the rooftop of the 150-year-old department store Takashimaya.
The FEEL GREEN CAFE at Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. Main Building is a spacious eatery spanning 6,000 square meters. You can even enjoy a meal inside a tent with a reservation in advance.
As its name suggests, the cafe serves healthy drinks and food. Their smoothies and soy lattes keep the office employees working in the area energized throughout the day.
We recommend the earl grey and matcha chiffon cake set (880 yen before tax). The refreshing cup of tea complements the soft, fluffy cake. It is a delicious treat that will make you want to come back for a second visit.
