■Issey Miyake, which is popular among a wide range of people, has launched a new brand!

Based on the concept of "expanding communication between creators and recipients and weaving the future," ISSEY MIYAKE's new brand A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE has opened in Omotesando, which has high sense of fashion.

Around the shop, there are many ISSEY MIYAKE brand shops such as ISSEY MIYAKE and PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE, which is a must-see area for fans.

A-POC was launched in 1998 to create clothes that can be cut and designed by the wearer wherever they want. A-POC has revolutionised the process of dressmaking and proposed a new way of design in which the wearer participates.

The new brand A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE is a dynamic development of A-POC. The ideas that it unfolds on a single piece of cloth create various "ABLE", and it is a brand whose trends we are interested in.

■Shape your clothes from a single piece of cloth. Enables the expansion of design!

The brand name A-POC stands for A Piece of Cloth. A piece of cloth is created by using a computer to give instructions to each thread at the fabric making stage, inputting not only the design of the garment but also the cutting and sewing information. This method allows the garment to be cut into any shape desired and opens up a wide range of design possibilities.

The garments are made using the "Steam Stretch" process, which creates a unique stretch fabric, creating a variety of designs. The garments are simple, yet stylish.

The new technology creates an unprecedented three-dimensional pattern and shape. It is light and comfortable and can be worn all year round.

■New project product "TYPE-Ι" in May

This product uses a new material made from rice hulls to create a special black colour that cannot be achieved with conventional dyeing. This is a wonderful product that is less likely to fade than conventional dyeing and can be used for a long time in everyday life. ■The interior design and presentation of the shop is chic and mainly white, to highlight the coloured products.

This is A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE's first street shop, where you can experience its ever-evolving craftsmanship. Located in the From First Building, the shop is characterized by its flexible space.

In particular, table displays are used to explain how the products are made from a single piece of fabric.

■Editorial note

When the shop assistant explained the product to me, my desire to buy grew and I bought the jumper! It is comfortable, light on the skin, and the fact that it can be washed in the washing machine at home was also a deciding factor in my purchase. I am very happy with my purchase, as this is one of the many Japanese designer brands that I love to own.
