In the midst of the pandemic, more and more people are rethinking their dietary habits and becoming more concerned about bread. In this situation, we would like to recommend "Bakery Square" at Takashimaya Yokohama to bread lovers.
Based on the idea that people should be able to come and eat delicious, fresh bread every day, we have a 400㎡ bread store that sells bread from Kanagawa Prefecture and Tokyo.
The store sells more than 500 kinds of breads from about 40 different brands, which have been selected from around the world.
A kitchen is located on the sales floor and there is also an eat-in space where you can enjoy the food on the spot, it's a very exciting sales floor.
■No.1 best-selling item "Junibun Bakery's Balloon Bread" sells up to 400 pieces a day
Made by a popular bakery in Tokyo, this chewy bread can be eaten as it is, baked with salted butter wrapped in a high-moisture dough.

■No.2 best-selling item "Bon Vivant's Fresh Cream Anpan" sells up to 350 pieces a day

■No.3 best-selling item "Maison Ichi's Fig Bread" sells up to 200 pieces a day

■Other recommended selling area: "Kanagawa Bakers' Dock," a collection of local breads
Not only famous bakeries, but also young and upcoming chefs will be offering about 200 kinds of breads from 30 different brands every day.
Takashimaya itself collects bread from stores without successors or stores that want to expand their market but are unable to do so and works together with them.
The idea is to make bakeries more prosperous together.
The leftover bread is sent to a farm for composting to protect the environment and to make "Happoshu" (sparkling alcoholic beverage/low-malt beer).
▲Not only do they introduce the baking philosophy of each store, but also the chef's photo, connecting customers with a sense of security and rediscovery.
■Bluff Bakery, a New York-style bakery that represents Yokohama, is popular for its cinnamon rolls filled with plenty of cheese cream.
▲It is also famous for its large number of bread items.
■"Faro" is a popular restaurant that makes colorful sandwiches with healthy ingredients such as fresh vegetables and fish.
■Introduction of the entire sales floor
The sales floor is lined with eight brands surrounding an editorial bread section in the center.
■A message from the store
With the expansion of the floor space, it has become one of the largest department store basements in Japan.
