The Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro holds a free-of-charge event "Calligraphy Performance & Workshop for First Calligraphy of New Year" on January 3 (Fri.). It is a special event on the 8th floor rooftop "Sky Deck Square", in which you can enjoy Japanese traditional culture at a close distance.

From 1:00 p.m. a powerful calligraphy performance (about 30 minutes) will be shown. Later, a workshop for first calligraphy of the new year (about 60 minutes), which everyone can join, will be held from 2:00 p.m.

Let's write the new year's aspirations and wishes with a traditional brush to start with new feelings.
