Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi will hold 『Candle Night』 on September 21st (Sat.) and 22nd (Sun.) to surround you in the romantic night! During these two days, a fantastic space with the candles and the interactive videos of fireworks will be created on the rooftop of Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi. How about feeling the Japanese autumn relaxingly in the night breeze?

■Venue: Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi, 8F (Plaza on the rooftop of Oriental Building)

■Dates: September 21st (Sat.) and 22nd (Sun.), 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. each day

※If it’s suspended because of rain on one of the days, it will be held on September 23rd (Monday, substitute holiday)

The following is an introduction to the contents of 『Candle Night.』

◎A Ferris wheel, the oldest rooftop Ferris wheel in Japan and designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, and an iron objects combining LED solar candles collaborate to create the space. The iron objects are the works of ＜sakishiraz＞, a company that develops a wide range of creative activities based on metalworking techniques. The warm rights of the candles will connect the “new” and the “old.”

◎The work program 「Throw, Hit, Spread」 created by the unit 「Switch」 of Nagoya Zokei University’s faculty and students who create artwork together, was remade to the 「Fireworks」 by students of the Interface Design Seminar in the Information Expression Field. It is an interactive contents that can be played on the large wall on the rooftop of the department store and enjoyed visually and aurally.
