This shop in front of JR Tsuruoka Station, the entranceway into Shonai tourism, draws many longtime regular customers as well as older customers coming from afar to worship at Dewa Sanzan (Three Mountains of Dewa), and enjoys a deep-rooted popularity for its special traditional Shonai items such as tsukemono pickles, folk handicrafts and locally brewed sakes.
We would like to make this shop a “tourist spot” for choosing souvenir gift items and enjoy the fun of shopping for customers visiting on a trip, and for customers looking to buy presents for others, a shop that provides items that they can be confident about giving.
With the greatest selection of any Kiyokawaya shop and a natural atmosphere where customers can casually stop by, we looking forward to meeting each and every one of our customers.

・We built a corner to assemble Tsuruoka confectionery items that have been made in local areas since long ago.
・We have assembled local sakes mainly made from Kame no O, a rare sake rice born from the Shonai region, as well as shochus and wines.
・Our ceramics corner assembles the four local potteries of Taihoji-yaki, Matsugaoka-yaki, Hitokasumi-yaki and Shinjo Higashiyama-yaki and is very popular.
