A moment of blissful relaxation at a JAPANESE SENTOU

In Japan, there is a special bathing culture, associated with facilities called "sentou". Open until late at night, it's easy to stop by, so make a point of taking in this experience during your sightseeing trip. There are various types, from stylish "designer sentou" through to typically Japanese sentou, that have changed little from the past. Allow us to introduce you to Japanese sentou baths!

■Hisamatsuyu(久松湯)

Let's start with these sentou baths of Sakuradai, Nerima City, which feel like they are situated within an artist's atelier! "Sentou in the midst of light, wind and trees" - this themed space is like being in the middle of a work of art. What is more, a surprise awaits in the bath! Unlike other sentou where the tile pictures are placed on the walls, you can enjoy a projection mapping light display. There is also an open-air hot spring bath to enjoy!

■Fukunoyu（ふくの湯）

Here we have a bath with Japanese art! Relax, and take your time soaking in the bath while looking at the art of a Japanese painter. Enjoy the pictures, which are different in each of the men's and women's bath sections! For people who feel they want to see the rest of the pictures - don't worry, you will get a chance! At one-week intervals, the allocation of bath sections is switched.
