Shibuya has many faces. Many young people come and go through the areas around the station, such as Center Gai Street and SHIBUYA109, but once you walk up Dogenzaka and Bunkamura-dori Street from the Shibuya Scramble crossing, you enter an area that exudes a calm and mature atmosphere.
The east side of the station is adjacent to National Highway Route 246, and offers the experience of the sophistication of Aoyama and Omotesando.

Tokyu Department Store has established stores that match the respective characteristics of each of these three areas. It is investing effort into creating an environment where foreign tourists can enjoy shopping in even greater comfort than before, and the cosmetics departments of all three stores accept payments through Alipay and WeChat.

The Toyoko Store is directly connected to Shibuya Station. It stays open till 9 p.m., so tourists can feel reassured of its presence even at night.
Tokyu Food Show, located on the first basement floor (B1F) had sparked the depa-chika (basement floors filled with foodstuff markets in the department stores) boom in Japan. Having been newly renovated last year, it now boasts an additional 15 stores that include popular sweets and Japanese cuisine from restaurants that are often difficult to secure reservations at. There is also a dining space where customers can enjoy the food that they just purchased. The SHIBUYA SOUVENIR SHOP is located on the second floor of the West Building, and offers a collection of souvenirs that are unique to Shibuya, such as goods and sweets for the new Shibuya character Toyoko Hachiko produced by the Tokyu Department Store. There is also a line-up of everyday Japanese merchandise that is popular among overseas tourists. A collection of cosmetic products that are popular in Japan can be found at Scramble I on the first floor of the West Building, and on the fifth floor.
