Baba is by no means a one-trick pony. Among its hidden gems is one of Japan’s six Baird Beer taprooms. A craftbeer success story dating back to 2000, Baird Beer takes its suds seriously, and is known for quality and innovation. The mainly wooden interior of its Takadanobaba taproom provides the perfect atmosphere for talking with friends, meaning there’s no music you have to shout over. It’s non-smoking (with an outdoor patio in the warmer months), and has tasting courses and a solid food menu centered around kushiyaki, or skewered meat and veggies (though each of its taprooms has a distinct specialty).
