DESCRIPTION

The exhibition and sale of approx. 30 delicate pottery goods from famous kiln in Japan. Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki are Kyoto pottery originated from Kiyomizu neighborhood towards the Kiyomizu Temple. With the spread of tea drinking in the Edo era, overglaze enamels porcelain started by Nonomura Hitokiyo, followed by Kenzan style Ogata Kenzan Korin, overglaze enamels porcelain has been produced in Genroku period in many kiln of Higashiyama area. The period Bunsei, many master craftsman such as Eisen Okuda and Mokubei Aoki contributed to the brilliant Kyoyaki style which has been flowering ever since.
